Black TeaMost of us are familiar with Black tea. It's what many people call 'normal' tea.
But there’s nothing normal about it. For one thing, this category of tea is very wide, with lots of different varieties. The one thing they share is that black tea leaves are fully fermented – they’re the most processed and therefore the most intense in flavor.
Black teas tend to have more caffeine than other teas, which is why they're one of the world’s most popular pick-me-ups. They're traditionally grown in China, India and Sri Lanka.
Varieties we use include Assam, Ceylon, Darjeeling & Keemun.
